an island between nature landscape and culture

Foroglio, in the Bavona Valley, is one of the most beautiful places in the Alps. It is a stone village contained in an extraordinary natural setting, which is enhanced by the beauty of the waterfall, a hundred meters high.

Foroglio is also many other things. Place of reception. An island where the people of the world meet. Gastronomic stop. Place of culture: literary evenings, concerts, debates. And also Art Village, which from the Settembrini Arena, where the works and installations of a dozen artists are currently on display, unfolds along the main street of the village to the oratory.

Foroglio thought of in this way is a destination that combines a strong territorial identity that has remained basically intact with an attempt at dialogue with the contemporary, to avoid the risk that valleys like Bavona cannot afford: museification, inspired by a passatism that takes away oxygen.
